I think this can only be called a salad in the midwest but we're going to go with it.
With August comes humidity and humidity likes to make the caramel sort of fall off the apples. We do our best to control it but sometimes it just doesn't work.
So - we had to come up with a fun little treat to make for ourselves that uses up some of those melty caramel apples.
Caramel Apple Salad
3 melted caramel apples (with or without nuts) - chopped up into squares
1 pkg Instant Vanilla pudding mix
1 container of cool whip
Mix together all the above ingredients. Chill and enjoy in a bowl or cup! Feel free to serve with ice cream or chocolate chips. It was such a delicious treat! I can't wait for Capri to make another batch!
