William's Pride Apples and Warm Apple Pudding Recipe

Flavor: The William's Pride is a minimally tart, complexly sweet and rich flavor with hints of pear. It is a crispy, creamy flesh that will stay firm for about two weeks after picked.


Baking: Tends to keep its shape when cooked.


History: PRI 108-101 x NJ 50 introduced in 1988

Warm Apple Pudding

4 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

1/2 c. brown sugar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 c. flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 c. brown sugar

1 T. oil

1 egg

1 tsp.vanilla

1/2 c. milk


Put apples into greased 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over. Combine remaining ingredients. Beat for 2 minutes. Pour over apples. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 375-degrees.
