With the Handcrafted Hoedown for the Holiday's starting the 19th I have a few more artists that sent in their interviews and I want you to get to know them better. Up next is artist Jan Dorner!
Hi, it’s Jan Dorner, vendor at Hoedown for 4 years! What makes this a special show is the artists, crafters, upcyclers coming together at our beloved orchard among family and friends! The sights and smells are a unique experience! Gifts I look to give are locally made, whether it’s crafts, food, drink! My favorite holiday is Christmas vacation #ad, out loud laughter every time!
Favorite Recipe:
Sour Cream cut out cookies
recipe from Grandma, maybe before that!
1/3 c. Crisco
1/3 c. Butter
1- 1/2 c. Sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
Blend these together. Mix together 4 c. Flour 1 tsp. Salt 2 tsp. Baking powder, add to blended mixture, alternating with 1 c. Sour Cream. Dough will be sticky. Chill dough over night, then roll out adding an additional c. Flour as you roll. Bake 350 oven, 12 minutes, these cookies are to be lightly brown and soft! Frost, decorate, have fun!
